Welcome to the 2009/2010 School Year

Monte Vista PTA invites all parents, teachers and staff to make a difference in the quality of education here at Monte Vista Elementary.

Our past success has been a direct result of the incredible parental and teacher support and participation we've received. We want to continue to provide educational assemblies, family programs, and items needed by the school.  As a PTA, we can only continue to provide these programs and items through your participation.

Monte Vista's PTA board is a group of volunteer parents and teachers whose mission is to organize the events and programs provided to the students and families.  When you become a member, your support helps bring Monte Vista's PTA closer to accomplishing its mission.  PTA's annual dues are $6.00 per member with family memberships starting at $25.  Simply complete the enclosed envelope, enclose your membership donation and return it to your child's teacher or put it in the PTA box at the front office!  Please make checks payable to Monte Vista PTA.

Our goal this year is to have 100% participation from each classroom.  The classroom with the highest participation level (percentage of classroom population) by October 2nd will receive a popcorn party.

Information about our programs and fundraisers as well as our membership packages and volunteer opportunities can be found at www.murrieta.k12.ca.us/montevista.   Just click on the Parents and scroll down to PTA.  This year, the majority of information about PTA events will come to you through the weekly online school newsletter and the monthly online PTA newsletter. Be sure to read those when they reach your mailboxes so you can stay up to date!

Our PTA board members work hard all year to bring the programs and fundraisers to our school.  Without your assistance however, this would not be possible.  Our goal this year is to have each parent and teacher volunteer for at least one PTA event.  This would not only ensure that our events run smoothly but it would instill a sense of pride and community, especially in our children, knowing that their parents/teachers are not only part of the PTA but our Monte Vista Community which we are so proud of.

If you would be so kind as to send your e-mail address to amyblankpta@yahoo.com , we will send you an e-mail whenever there are opportunities to volunteer.
