Welcome to 1st grade at Avaxat!  Please check out our Class Calendar and Class Files for important information and ways you can help your child at home. Please have your child practice reading the Word Lists at home.  The Blending page contains reading lessons we do in class every Monday-Thursday that help students practice sounding out words and reading sentences.  You can use these lessons for extra practice at home, or on days your child is absent.
