It is the general intent of the district that students attend their neighborhood schools - that is, the school that serves the attendance area in which they reside. However, the district also supports the concept of school choice within the limitations of space availability.
There are three processes by which a parent may request approval to attend a school other than their neighborhood school. Open Enrollment Intradistrict and Interdistrict transfers are accepted from January 14, 2013 through February 14, 2013.
If applications exceed the spaces available for transfers, a lottery will be held for approvals. A first-come, first-served system does not apply.
