The District's Breakthrough Program serves all district students and their families.  The Breakthrough program turns school suspensions into opportunities for growth and learning by responding to all student and family concerns with respectful dialogue, individualized service, ongoing staff and parent training, community support and referrals to appropriate school or community based services as needed.   
 
The RAIN Elementary Counseling program is designed to provide guidance and support to elementary students and their families.
 
Military Family Support & Resources This link is for our military families. MVUSD has a Military Family Advisory Council that is working to establish a connection with our students who have either one or both parents on active duty or in the reserves. If you would like more information, please contact the district's Military Support Liaison Bill Olien.
 
The PTA Parent Involvement website has a host of resources and articles to support parents in making an impact on learning for their children.

California State PTA website is designed to assist local PTA's to carry out an effective parent education and involvement program.

The Parent Section of the US Department of Education website has news and information for parents ranging from helping your child with homework to making decisions about college.

Project Appleseed is a parent run and operated public charity that has three goals: increasing student achievement, stengthening fitness and nutrition, and enhancing the learning environment.

Reading by 9: This is a reading initiative, sponsored by the Los Angeles Times, to promote literacy and provivde support for students, parents and teachers by providing learning tools that encourage reading and foster reading skills.
