Mrs. Everett
Professional Biography
I earned college degrees in Speech, English, Health Education and Dance at CSULB. During the summers, I worked for parks and recreation programs in the inner cities of LA. These jobs inspired me, and my life’s purpose became helping every child to love learning and experience a quality education. I attended Pepperdine for a master’s degree in Education/School Administration and Management. I am married and we have two children who attended our Murrieta schools and are now in college. For the LBUSD I served as a high school teacher, administrator, and Activities Director. I received recognition as California High School Activities Director of the Year. I have taught GATE, ESL; Mild to Moderate Special Education; Continuation High School; 9th, 10th, and 12th grade English and Health Education. Currently, at Thompson, I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grades Speech and Drama. I was awarded Thompson teacher of the Year, MVUSD Teacher of the Year and Riverside County Teacher of the Year for 2015. Working many years in education, I have enjoyed every job. However, I find no place more worthful than the classroom where I proudly remain today. Go Timberwolves!
