I am so excited to begin this new school year and look forward to meeting you and your children! My hope is that this year will be a great time filled with academics, social engagement, and fun.

 

To begin, I’d like to share a little about myself. I earned my master's degrees from Biola University (MA in Teaching and MS in Special Education) in 2020 and 2021. Additionally, I received a Bachelor's degree in Child Development and Family Studies from CSULB. Lastly, I have 6 years of substitute teaching experience (K-6) and taught 2nd grade last year at Tovashal. Teaching is my passion and I truly enjoy my job.

 

This year our class will focus on meeting grade level standards, creating life-long learners, and building character. My goal is to facilitate an atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. Some plans I have for this year include:

 

-Reading, writing, and math centers

-Number talks (math)

-Science experiments

-Go Noodle movement videos

-Character development

-Art projects

-SEL activities (and more!)
