    April 6, 2020:
Good morning everyone.  I miss our cast terribly, and leaving our show at the footsteps of our opening was so painful.  But for safety, it was the right move and best for you and your family.
Almost two weeks ago, the Riverside County decided to end On-Campus education for the rest of the 2019-20 school year, bringing our hopes for this show to an end.  Student safety is the number one priority.  I completely support their actions and the actions of our school district.
But this virus situation will end,  I have great hopes that our country and world will find an answer to this crisis soon and hopefully by June or July, life as we know it will be back on track (I pray).
So after some discussion with Mr. Ellis and other people in the district, I am attempting to schedule the rebirth of West Side Story for the end of August (no promises).  If we can work this out, the original casts will perform just like we had practiced.  The shows would be a rising of Murrieta Mesa High School again.  With this schedule, the graduated seniors could perform before heading off to college and will get to take a final bow on the stage that your built over the past 4 years.  It would mean that you will need to run lines and practice songs for the next several months (not together but online or via text messages - social distancing still applies) and as soon as it is safe to meet, we will get together and dance!  We will give West Side Story new life.
You have no idea how much you mean to me.  I miss our time together and the great productions we do.  In all of your future lives, you can always look back at the shows we have done and know we did something first class, top notch, with our whole heart.  My hope is this plan for an August show comes to harvest and we will show our city that we can overcome anything!
Now I need to know if you are still interested in doing the show.   Do you still want to do it? So, can you "reply to all" and in the Subject line, erase my title and just put Yes (if you want to do this) or No (if are unable to do this).  If you are unable or don't wish to participate, I completely understand.  There are other life considerations, and know we care for you no matter what.
Please feel free to email me at any time.  I would love to answer questions and get your feedback.  I miss you all very much.
    Mr. Ryan
