Counseling Secretary

  • The school counselors at Murrieta Valley High School are advocates who assist students in identifying and achieving academic, career, personal, social and emotional goals. Counselors promote and support the educational process by helping students explore their abilities, strengths, interests and talents while planning for life after high school. Counselors interact not only with students, but also with parents, teachers, administrators, and outside agencies and organizations in order to provide the best educational environment and opportunities for all students.

The primary role of the school counselor is to:

    • Advocate for students
    • Monitor and support academic progress
    • Support student’s social/emotional development
    • Assist with college and career (post-high) planning
