    Welcome To Reading Intervention!
Hi my name is Mrs. Lukofnak.  It means an archer or bowman. My husband's family is from Austria. My husband's name is Richard and he is not only my husband but best friend.  We got married in September 2010. I am very blessed that our paths have crossed.  Mr. Lukofnak is both a helicopter and airplane pilot.  He loves to share his stories about flying!

I am happy to say I have been teaching since 2002.  I cannot picture myself in any other career.  I have taught here at Monte Vista Elementary since it opened. I feel blessed to have a rewarding career which I can honestly say I love. Wow where has the time gone! What I love about teaching the most is when I have students come visit me from the past. There is nothing more rewarding than knowing what a difference you can make in a child's life.

I received my B.A. in Liberal Studies from Cal State San Bernardino, teaching credential from University of Redlands, and Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Azusa Pacific University.  My learning continues day to day for children are always teaching me something.  This is what keeps this job so exciting.

I am blessed to have a wonderful husband and son.  Our son is now four years old keeping us busy.  I know he will be going to school with me before I know it.  I love reading to him and watching him take picture walks through the pages. We have a box tortoise at home who absolutley loves to eat strawberries.

I look forward to a fabulous school year where students will develop a passion for reading, gain confidence about themselves, and a desire to go to school.  I look forward to meeting you!
