Title III

Title III funding is in place to ensure that Limited English Proficient/English Learnings attain English proficiency, succeed in core academic subjects and meet the same academic content standards expected of all students.  Schools apply for this funding by developing a plan for its use with the collaboration of parents and the school community.

Funds must be used to develop, implement, embrace or expand high quality language instruction education; programs based on scientifically based research focused on increasing English proficiency and academic achievement in core subjects. Districts must also provide high quality professional development for teachers, administrators, community and school personnel.
