In a survey of 41 school districts in Orange, Riverside, Ventura, Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties by Southern California Public Radio, MVUSD was ranked the third-highest district offering the most access to dance, visual arts, music and theater every year.
Arts education is not only a discipline of its own, it also reinforces learning and academic achievement in the other curricular areas. A report by "Americans for the Arts" found that young people who participate regularly in the arts are four times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement than those who do not participate.
