Measure BB

Measure BB was approved by 57.41% of Murrieta voters on November 4, 2014. The $98 million bond measure provides funding to modernize educational technology and improve school facilities throughout the district.

Measure BB supports upgrades to classrooms and instructional technology, while also addressing critical infrastructure needs such as roofing, plumbing, lighting, HVAC systems, flooring, buildings, and grounds. Funding also supports the construction and equipping of classrooms and facilities, campus safety and security improvements, and enhancements to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) learning environments that prepare students for college and career success.

• All Measure BB funds remain local and may only be used for Murrieta Valley Unified School District schools
• The State cannot redirect Measure BB funding
• Funds may only be used for school technology and facilities improvements
• Measure BB funds cannot be used for administrator salaries
• Independent citizens’ oversight and required audits ensure accountability and proper use of funds

• Expand and modernize educational technology
• Upgrade classrooms, labs, and equipment for advanced math, science, engineering, and technology instruction
• Improve career-training facilities that support college and career readiness in areas such as health sciences, engineering, technology, and skilled trades
• Repair or replace aging infrastructure, including roofs, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and HVAC systems
• Improve indoor and outdoor safety conditions for students and staff
• Construct new classrooms and facilities to support student enrollment growth
