Developer Fees
Developer fees are collected on new construction projects within the School District's boundaries.
Government Code Section 65995 and California Education Code Section 17620 allow school districts to levy fees on residential and or commercial/industrial construction projects within a school district's boundaries to pay for the construction and reconstruction of school facilities necessitated by new development. The State Allocation Board (SAB) sets the per-square-foot Level I school impact fees every two (even) years at its January meeting.
