Antelope Hills Elementary Special Day Classes

AHES has three moderate to severe handicapped special day classes on site.  The goal of our program is to teach functional skills to students.  All classes maintain a 2:1 ratio to provide constant support to students with their activities.  The goals of many of our students focuses on general independent functional daily living skills, as well as a strong academic focus.

Our district developed the special day class to provide functional skills instruction in a safe and least restrictive learning environment.  Having three special day classes has created a great opportunity for our general and special education students to learn from each other in a collaborative way.

Please feel free to contact our principal Preston Fairchild or any of our AHES teaching staff if you have questions about the program.
