    Lee J. Rice

    Head Coach

Coach Rice began coaching wrestling his first year out of high school and this season will be his 18th season as a coach. He started wrestling when he was eight years old in Waterloo, Iowa and wrestled one year in junior high school before moving to California. Rice wrestled all four years in high school and was team captain his senior year. Coach Rice has had the pleasure of coaching five state qualifiers and two CIF champions. He has also experienced winning a team league championship as both a wrestler and a coach. He feels truly lucky to be given the opportunity to start a brand new program at a facility as impressive as Murrieta Mesa High School and looks forward to the upcoming season.

Welcome student-athletes, parents, and fans to Murrieta Mesa Rams Wrestling. In order to have a successful program the coaches, student-athletes, and parents must all work together as one. Next season MMHS will be entering the Southwest League which is considered to be one of the premier wrestling leagues in Southern California. The future success of the program will depend on the level of commitment displayed by all share holders. I am very much looking forward to the upcoming season and getting to know all the parents and student-athletes. GO RAMS!
