    Posted:  February 27, 2015  Dorothy McElhinney Middle School Principal Howard Dimler has been promoted and beginning July 1 he will serve as the district’s Director of Student Support.   Mr. Dimler has been Principal at Dorothy McElhinney Middle School for the past two years. He served as was at Vista Murrieta as an Assistant Principal for four years and a counselor for four years.
     
    Mr. Dimler said “I have enjoyed working with the students, families and staff for the past two years and have really appreciated the positive student-centered philosophy of the Dorothy McElhinney community. While it is bittersweet to leave, I am very excited to take on the position of Director of Student Support where I will be working with students and staff throughout the district.”
     
     
    District Superintendent Pat Kelley said, “The recent retirements and promotions in the district created several opportunities for advancement and we are fortunate to have so many outstanding leaders to promote from within the district. Howard brings proven leadership skills and a broad range of experience and I am confident he will work to provide the necessary support systems for our students.”
     
    Murrieta Valley Unified will conduct an inclusive process to select the new principal for Dorothy McElhinney Middle School and a committee comprised of parents, faculty, and staff will be given an opportunity to provide input during that process.
