*Welcome to Mrs. Carole-Ann Bader's Website*American Sign Language I & II
~Welcome to ASL I & II! I'm excited to be here and teaching a phenomenal language that is so close to my heart. I was born Deaf and grew up 'oral' where I was taught to learn how to speak, lip-read and be communicative among the 'hearing'. I was first exposed to sign language at fourteen years old attending a camp for Deaf children. I was one of the very few campers who could not sign. Imagine my shock that I have never met so many Deaf children like myself who could not speak. This experience has inspired me to learn signs so I could communicate with others like me. It was nearly ten years later before I finally learned the 'language'. Fast forward today, I'm proud to be your child's ASL I & II teacher and I will share many of my unique experiences growing up Deaf, learning signs, developing a new language and being part of Deaf Community/Culture.YKISS-FIST YASL !!BE SURE to Bring a SPIRAL NOTEBOOK for use in class
