Ms. Elizabeth Ernst

Welcome to Ms. Ernst's Classroom

As the daughter of a teacher, I spent a lot of time hanging around and helping out in my mom's classroom, so it's not surprising that I decided to become a teacher myself. I grew up and went to school in different parts of Orange County and LA County. I graduated from UCLA and earned my teaching credential at CSULB, and later received my MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University. I became a National Board Certified Teacher (Literacy: Reading-Language Arts/Early and Middle Childhood) in 2013. My first teaching job was in ABC Unified School District, which is in LA County. I taught in the Perris Elementary District for five years, and then began teaching at Avaxat Elementary here in Murrieta in 1996. When E. Hale Curran became a STEM school, I transferred here. My experience includes all K-5 grade levels (except first grade). My three children all attended Murrieta schools from Kindergarten through high school, and they were well-prepared to be college/career ready. I am proud to be working in MVUSD!
