Parents are a child's first and most important teachers
Thank you for entrusting your child's education to Murrieta Valley Unified School District! We take the task seriously and we welcome your involvement along the way.
Students are most successful when a strong partnership exists between school and home and we are very fortunate to live in a community that places a high priority on supporting our young people and a first-rate educational program. Our mission is to inspire every student to think, to learn, to achieve, and to care. With everyone's active involvement and support, we can fulfill our mission and continue to make Murrieta Valley Unified an even better school district each and every year.

If you need help with the challenges of parenting, contact the Parent Center. In addition to the vast resources available on this site, the Parent Center is home to a library of resources and they hold a number of classes throughout the year that are designed to equip parents for the challenges of parenting. They also offer practical classes like First Aid and CPR and host a number of support groups. Parents of children with special needs can find information and support from the Special Education Advisory Committee.
Student Assistance and Family Resources
The district's Breakthrough and R.A.I.N. programs are available to provide counseling and support for children and their families who need assistance during times of crisis, stress or financial hardship.Parent Involvement / Volunteerism
We recognize the important role parents play in the education of their children and the need for an active partnership between home and school. The excellence in our school system is due, in large part, to the involvement of our parents and their volunteer efforts. By sharing their time, talents and resources as members of PTA, helping in classrooms and serving on district advisory committees, our parents are an integral part of the success of students in Murrieta schools. Each school has a parent involvement plan aligned with the district's Parent Involvement Board Policy and Administrative Regulation.
