Hello Students and Families,
It is with great pleasure and excitement to announce that I am continuing my amazing journey at Rail Ranch Elementary School, working with the 3rd-grade team. I started the school year in 2020 as a long-term sub, working with the 5th-grade team for 2 school years. It will be an exciting transition this year to work alongside our new 3rd-grade team.
Before Rail, I was hired by MVUSD in 2016, as a regular substitute teacher networking with at least 7 of its amazing schools in grades preschool-highschool. Later in 2019, I had the blessing of working with MVUSD as a student teacher, while completing my elementary teaching credential. Additionally, both my children have been attending this district since 1st grade. My son is now attending MVHS as a 9th grader and my daughter is a 7th grader at TMS.
Despite the unpredictable year, 2020 was an exciting time for me because it was also the year I finished my Masters in Education. Over the years, I have completed my multiple degrees and certificates using online learning. I believe it really helped strengthen my skills as a virtual teacher, which I am still able to implement in the classroom today. I continue to bring a perspective to my teaching techniques that I believe has greatly benefitted my students.
I am more than ready to continue my career in teaching at Rail Ranch. It is an amazing school that I feel really blessed to be a part of. Although this will be my first official year of teaching 3rd grade, I am ready for the challenge and opportunity to deserve to be a part of this amazing school and district. I have learned how to be the best from the best – since 2016. I have no doubt that everything I have learned from teachers, colleagues, and admin throughout MVUSD, will be reflected in my teaching.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my journey so far! I look forward to working with you and your student this year.Kind Regards,
Rachael Heida
