Degrees and Certifications:

Rebekah Hodges

Dear Parents,

I am so excited to begin this new school year and look forward to meeting you and your
children! My hope is that this year will be a great time filled with academics, social
engagement, and fun.
To begin, I’d like to share a little about myself. I earned my master's degrees from Biola University (MA in Teaching and Special Education) in 2020 and 2021. Additionally, I received a bachelor's degree in Child Development and Family Studies from CSULB. Lastly, I have 6 years of substitute teaching experience (K-6) and have been a long-term substitute for both the Murrieta and Avaxat Elementary School campuses. Teaching is my passion and I truly enjoy my job.
This year our class will focus on meeting grade level standards, creating life-long
learners, and building character. My goal is to facilitate an atmosphere that feels like a
home away from home. Some plans I have for this year include:
-Reading, writing, and math centers
-Number talks (math)
-Science experiments
-Reader’s theater (historical/fairytale themes)
-Go Noodle movement videos
-Character development
-Art projects
-SEL activities (and more!)
As part of the Tovashal team, we are committed to serving you and your children.
I am expectant for all this new year will bring, and thrilled to partner with you on this
educational journey. Welcome to the Tovashal family!
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I’d love to
hear from you. Thank you in advance for an awesome year!
