Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to Mrs. Sluder's 1st grade class!
I still expect this to be an exciting year, and promise to work hard to ensure each and every child has a rewarding experience, especially as we begin Distance Learning. A few of my guiding principles for this year still hold true: Attitude - We cannot choose our external circumstances, but we can always choose how we respond to them. Goal: The great thing in this world is not so much where we are, but in what direction we are moving. Failure leads to success...we learn from our failures and grow from them. The power of "yet"... Your son or daughter may not have a concept...yet....but with hard work and effort, he/she will get there. Perseverance: Go over, go under, go around, or go through - but never give up.
I have a Haiku link on my Teacher Page that should take you right to our class. I appreciate your patience and diligence in learning how to logon to Haiku using Microsoft 365. I think it will help all of us to get comfortable with Haiku as several of our Curran grade levels use it, as does our middle and high schools. Please keep in touch! We'll use Haiki messaging, email, Flipgrid and more as we learn together!
I miss you all,
