Healthy Students Learn Better, School Nurses Make it Happen!
The district employs twelve credentialed school nurses who support multiple school sites across Murrieta Valley USD. Each campus is staffed with a health technician who provides first aid, monitors student health needs, and offers day to day nursing support.
Our school nurses oversee and guide the work of health technicians, while also providing specialized services, including:
- Supporting special education teams (developmental histories, assessments and IEP support)
- Design and oversee specialized physical health care plans,
- Conduct vision and hearing screenings
- Respond to emergencies
- Review home/hospital requests
- Consult with teachers, parents, and staff on health and safety matters
Together, our school nurses and health technicians ensure students receive compassionate, high quality care that supports their well-being and academic success.
