T4G School Zone

We are proud to partner with the Thrifting 4 Gifting (Formerly Assistance League of Temecula Valley) for the School Zone program. School Zone provides new school clothing to qualified K-12 students enrolled in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District. Each qualified student is gifted up to $125.00 for appropriate school clothing, which includes shoes, socks, underwear, jackets, sweaters, shirts, tops, jeans or pants, shorts, dresses, and skirts.

APPLICATION DIRECTIONS - PLEASE READ

To Register you need the following information:

1. Parent(s)/ Guardian Annual income documents, (before taxes, other deductions) such as 1040 Tax return.
2. Student name, gender, date of birth, age, home address, grade level and school and Ethnicity
3. Parent/Guardian: first, last name and email address, and Family size.

If your application is accepted - YOU MUST bring COPIES (not original copies will be kept for grant verification purposes) of income verification documents:

• The FIRST TWO (2) PAGES of your most recent Year Tax Return/1040.

If you do not have a copy of your most recent (Current) Tax Return/1040, you will need a COPY of EACH of the following documents that applies to your yearly income:

• Current Year W-2 for each parent/ guardian supporting children. Showing annual income.
• Three (3) consecutive months/ pay periods of MOST recent paycheck stubs/payroll statement showing year-to-date annual income before taxes.
• All County, State, Federal Assistance Documents, such as “Passport to Services,” “Cash Aid,” “Notice of Action,” “Child Support,” other aid.
• Unemployment. New job information.
• Employer’s Letter stating income amount, if there are no other documents available.
• Other income assistance such as family, church, other organizations, count as income.
• If you have ZERO Income, speak to a team member at the Check-In Table.

There is a limited number of shopping spaces available, and they fill quickly. When the spaces are filled, the shopping night is closed, and no further applications are accepted.

You must apply for each child. At the end of each completed application, you will be asked if you want to register another child. If you have another child to register, answer “Yes” and complete the student information for each child.

Once completed you will receive an immediate email confirming your acceptance and registration. You will receive a reminder email a few days before your scheduled shopping night.
