T4G School Zone

We are proud to partner with the Thrifting 4 Gifting (Formerly Assistance League of Temecula Valley) for the School Zone program. School Zone provides new school clothing to qualified K-12 students enrolled in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District.

Children of low- to moderate-income families are being selected to participate in the School Zone™ program. If qualified, your registered child may receive up to $150.00 in new, school-appropriate clothing. The registration application will show the available dates and times. Follow the instructions to register.

Your child must attend a public school served by School Zone™ and be enrolled in grades Kindergarten through 12^th. Your child must be 5 years of age by September 1^st at the beginning of the school year. This registration application includes a list of eligible school districts and schools.

DO NOT apply if your child is enrolled in TK, preschool, homeschool, a charter school, or a private school.Once you submit your registration, you will receive a confirmation email if your registration is accepted. A reminder email will be sent a few days before your scheduled shopping date and time. Mark your calendar with your appointment date and time!

1. Who qualifies for this program?

Murrieta Valley Unified School District families in grades Kindergarten -12 who meet eligibility requirements qualify for this program.

Transitional kinder students DO NOT qualify due to federal grant regulations.

Eligibility is solely based on a family's “Total Yearly Family Income.” Thrifting 4 Gifting-School Zone is required to use Federal Income Guidelines to qualify families.

2. What are the income requirements?

1. Family Size – Select your immediate family size in Column 1.

2. Annual Total Income Go to the right to select amount that best represents YOUR income, include all sources of income (wages, spouses wage, child support, unemployment, Aid, other).

3. If YOUR income exceeds the amount shown in Column 1, > move to Column 2, then to Column 3. You do not qualify if your income exceeds all three columns to the right.

4. If your income is above the amounts in all three Columns, you do not qualify.

APPLICATION DIRECTIONS - PLEASE READ

To Register you need the following information:

Parent(s)/ Guardian Annual income documents, (before taxes, other deductions) such as 1040 Tax return.
Student name, gender, date of birth, age, home address, grade level and school and Ethnicity
Parent/Guardian: first, last name and email address, and Family size.

If your application is accepted - YOU MUST bring to your appointment Copies (we will keep) of your Annual income documents from each Parent/Person supporting participating children. There are No copy machines available on-site.

Three consecutive months of Pay statements showing monthly, year-to-date Income, Recent 1040 Tax return, W2’s, New Job information, Unemployment, Social Security, County, State, Federal Assistance Documents, such as “Passport to Services, “Cash Aid”, “Notice of Action “, “Child Support”, other aid. All that applies to your total income. NOT Adjusted Gross.

Employers Letter is acceptable stating monthly/annual income amount, only if no other income documents are available. Income assistance from family, church, other organizations are counted as income.

No proof of income, Speak to a team member at the Check-In Table.
