• Email Etiquette

If you do not follow proper email etiquette, I will completely ignore your email. You are not texting your friend. You are making a formal request of a professional. Therefore, you need to observe the following guidelines in your email:
    1. Address the person to whom you are writing the email. Don't just start typing your explanation or request.
    2. Use proper capitalization, punctuation, and grammar. Again, this is not a text to your friend, but a memo that reflects characteristics about you.
    3. Put your name after the body of your mail. Don't assume the person will guess who you are by your email address.
Example of an unacceptable email that will be ignored:
We had a band concert today and i missed class. do i hav to complete the asignmet?
Example of an acceptable email that will be responded to:
     Mr. Fitzpatrick,
We had a band concert today and I missed class. Do I have to complete the assignment?
