    • Welcome to Distance Learning!

      Distance Learning

      Greetings Parents,

As you know, students will need to spend approximately two and one half hours per day on distance learning activities.  Students should spend approximately sixty minutes per day on math, and ninety minutes per day on language arts. Activities for each day will be posted below.   Please know that some concepts will take more than one session to master.  Thank you for your continued support.

      Sincerely,

      Mr. Paysse

    *Enrichment Opportunities

    Dear Parents,

I hope this email finds you all safe and well!

My colleagues and I are working hard to plan meaningful lessons and activities to engage students starting the week of April 6th. In the meantime, you can find the District enrichment resources at www.murrieta.k12.ca.us/enrichment. All are beneficial and engaging. Each child knows their username and password. If your child does not remember their 9560 student number and Mvusd password, please email me at dpaysse@murrieta.k12.ca.us

    iReady

Students now have full access to all program components! This is the program we have used to assess students in both math and language arts. The program is adaptive, which means when your child uses this program, he/she will begin work on those skills the program has identified he/she needs to practice and it will continue to personalize instructional practice for him/her based on their progress. Students can access both math and language arts using the same iReady icon. I recommend working in each subject area for 20 minutes.

    Fast Math

An additional math support that can also be utilized at home right now is Fast Math. Students should strive to finish both multiplication and division  operations by the end of fourth grade. Daily completion of 2 lessons and 2 games on this program will help students build fact fluency and master their facts!

    Physical Education

If you are looking for a website to help your little one get their wiggles out, Go Noodle is one that your child is familiar with. It has some fun and engaging ways to keep your little one moving and is a great way to take a brain break!

    Fun Student Links

Finally, here is a list of fun student links, many in the arts and sciences, that we think students will enjoy. Please feel free to check it out!

    https://www.murrieta.k12.ca.us/Page/2488

Beginning April 6th, I will email you each Monday with a list of assignments for your child to complete. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have along the way. I will be checking my emails from 8:30 - 11:30 am.  This consistent time frame will help us connect and allow me the opportunity to support you and your child.

    Wishing you good health,

    Mr. Paysse
