Murrieta Valley Unified School District is seeking community members to serve for a two-year term on the Measure BB Citizens’ Oversight Committee. Measure BB is a $98 million bond measure passed in 2014 to assist the district in completing upgrades to Murrieta Valley Unified School District education technology and school facilities.
The Citizens’ Oversight Committee meets with district staff on a regular basis to review the use of general obligation bond funds and monitor the implementation of Measure BB. Their task is to ensure that general obligation bond funds are being used in accordance with the intention of the voters and with the highest possible level of efficiency to serve the educational needs of the children of our community.
To assure broad-based representation, committee members must be in one of the following groups: business representative, active in a senior citizen organization, parent of MVUSD student, member of a taxpayer organization, an at-large community member or parent active in a MVUSD parent-teacher organization. If you are in one of these categories and are interested in serving a two year term on the Citizens’ Oversight Committee, please download and complete the application.
