The Student of the Month Program honors outstanding seniors across Murrieta high schools who embody character, integrity, a passion for learning, and a commitment to their school and community.

Each month, honorees, their families, nominating teachers, and principals gather for a celebration breakfast. During the event, Principals share each student’s impact on their high school campus while also discussing academic dedication, community service and their service to our community. Students share key life lessons, their plans to "pay it forward," and stories of perseverance.

Every Student of the Month is eligible to compete for their school’s Student of the Year award, which includes a college scholarship to support their higher education or trade school goals.

What began as Sally Myers' vision more than 30 years ago has grown into a lasting community tradition. The Student of the Month Program continues to remind students that achievement is measured not only by academic success, but also by the character they demonstrate, the challenges they overcome, the service they provide, and the positive impact they make on the people and communities around them.
