• About Murrieta Valley Adult School & Community Education

     

    Murrieta Valley Adult School’s climate and culture creates a foundation for support and opportunity. MVAS students demonstrate interpersonal skills using effective communication strategies to learn and to work cooperatively in diverse environments. MVAS students critically process information, make decisions, and problem solve independently and cooperatively.

    MVAS students set and accomplish learning goals, using resource management and self-advocacy strategies to navigate life situations.

     

    Murrieta Valley Adult School (MVAS) and Community Education was established in 1996 to serve the needs of the adults in the City of Murrieta and surrounding communities. Murrieta Valley Adult School serves approximately 200 students each year.  

    At MVAS, we strive to help each and every student achieve their goals and dreams of furthering their education. Many of our students continue on to post-secondary studies at community colleges, universities and vocational programs.
     
    Students come from a wide variety of backgrounds.  MVAS offers a wide variety of classes at several locations throughout the City of Murrieta which are designed to help the adult learner succeed in their chosen endeavor.

    • Basic skills instruction (ABE), 
    • English as a Second Language (ESL) and Citizenship classes
    • Healthcare Pathway
    • Online classes
    • Vocational and career technical education 
     
    Murrieta Valley Adult School and Community Education is committed to meeting the needs of every student and to creating an atmosphere where learning and excellence are the norm.  Our focus is to motivate, educate and prepare students for community college, career technical education, armed services, and the job market.
