2024-2025 Academic School Year
MVUSD's Learn@Home program operates under Independent Study guidance, offering flexible home-based learning options tailored to each student's unique needs. Our programs provide varying levels of support, allowing for a customized, student-centered approach that considers individual learning styles, personalized pacing, and family circumstances requiring flexibility outside a traditional classroom setting.
We collaborate closely with families to design a program that best suits their scholar's needs, with the ability to adjust and tailor it as those needs evolve.
We are committed to serving all learners, including those with identified or suspected special education needs. To determine if our non-traditional options are a good fit for your learner, we invite you to participate in a virtual intake meeting with our counselor.

Grades K-5:
- In-person meetings with the parent, student, and support teacher to review the Student Learning Plan at least once every two weeks.
Grades 6-8:
- Our program offers a blend of virtual instruction and digital-based courses for students in Grades 6-8.
- Students are required to attend scheduled virtual instruction in select core academic areas.
- Students are responsible for completing assigned work using the district's adopted computer-based programs for each course.

- In-person meetings with the parent, student, and partner teacher to review the Student Learning Plan as needed.
Additional Key Points:
- Supervising teachers will monitor student progress.
- MVUSD provides all technology, curriculum, and basic school supplies.
- All parties (student, parent/guardian, supervising teacher) must sign a Learning Agreement before starting the program.
- Students may re-enroll at their resident site upon parent request.
- Support opportunities are available based on student needs.
- For students with IEPs, our team will hold an IEP meeting to determine the offer of FAPE and the best program option.
