Casey Fung
Hello! My name is Casey Fung, or Ms. Casey as many students and families know me. I have worked in Special Education for 13 years, first as an aide and then a teacher. I found my passion for working with students with special needs while I was working on my Elementary Education degree and started working as an aide in a High School Life Skills class. I knew I had to make a change and changed programs to earn my MAT in Special Education. My first years teaching were in Monterey, California, as a Life Skills Teacher in a Self Contained classroom at one of their high schools. After 4 years our family moved to Menifee and I began working for MVUSD in 2018 at Vista Murrieta High School. This will be my first year at the Adult Transition Program! Helping my students to have the same experiences as their peers and guiding them in learning to be more independent has been a passion of mine ever since I started working as an aide. I’m excited for what this school year will bring, what we will learn from one another, and how we’ll all grow.
When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my high school sweetheart/best friend/husband and our beautiful and fierce 2 year old daughter.
I do my best to lead by example and strive to empower others to be the best versions of themselves, gain independence and find their joy. I look forward to working with your daughter or son soon, as each of us climb to our own SUMMIT!
