Welcome to the 2013/2014 School Year!

 

Monte Vista PTA invites you to join us to make a difference in the education and quality of life for all children. We realize how important your children are to you and that you want the best for them. The PTA can help you achieve that!

 

We all know children learn more and have better lives when parents, school staff, students and the community work together. PTA can bring these groups together to share thoughts and ideas about programs and activities that benefit children. Our PTA provides information and resources through workshops, videos, brochures and other communication channels.

 

Some of the events and programs that Monte Vista PTA will be sponsoring this year include:

 

Monte Fest Carnival                            Book Fairs                                             Pancakes with Santa

Family Movie Night                             Healthy Kids Month                         Drama Club                            

Red Ribbon Week                                Educational Assemblies                   Family Talent Show

Parent Education Nights                                                                    

 

PTA will be offering Smart Cards as a benefit to the families and friends of Monte Vista students throughout the school year.  Our primary fundraiser this year will be our Jog-a-Thon scheduled for the month of November. Please watch for information about these fundraisers to come home with your student.  

 

When you become a member, your support will bring us closer to accomplishing these goals.

Our dues are $6.00 per member with family memberships starting at $25.00.  Simply complete the attached envelope, enclose your membership donation and return it to your child’s teacher or put it in the PTA box at the front office.  Please make checks payable to Monte Vista PTA.  Our goal this year is to have 100% participation from each classroom. The classroom that reaches 100% participation first and the classroom with the highest participation level (percentage of classroom population) by September 28th will receive a pizza party! Membership cards will be delivered electronically via email unless a hard copy is requested. Please contact us to make this request.
