About Our School

Cole Canyon Elementary serves students in Transitional Kindergarten through Grade Five. Our statewide CAASPP assessment results consistently place us as one of the highest achieving schools in Riverside County. With our outstanding staff and parent support, we continue to show exceptional growth for all students.  We also provide several enrichment opportunities for children to participate in visual and performing arts including our Coyote Chorale, Meet the Masters art program, Odyssey of the Mind, and fifth grade band.

As of September 2016, Cole Canyon Elementary officially became an International Baccalaureate candidate school.  We anticipate full authorization as an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) in the spring of 2018.  "The IB PYP is a curriculum framework designed for students aged 3-12.  It focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside.  It is defined by six trans-disciplinary themes of global significance, explored using knowledge and skills derived from core subject areas, with a powerful emphasis on inquiry-based learning." (ibo.org 2014)  To learn more about IB at Cole Canyon click International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme .

Our Parent Teacher Club represents our many parent volunteers (up to 100 per day). Parents are an integral part of our Cole Canyon community. Our PTC provides various programs for students including a field trip for every student, our spring Dr. Seuss Carnival, enrichment assemblies, family nights and so much more.
