My name is Nicholetta (Nikki) Perez and I have been the ELD coordinator and Spanish teacher at MCA since 2021. I earned my bachelor’s degree in modern languages, literatures, and cultures in 2012 from UC Riverside and my master’s degree in teaching and learning as well as my Single Subject and Multiple Subject Credentials in 2017 from University of Redlands. I consider myself an aspiring polyglot, so I speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Cape Verdean Creole.

I am the CEO of Más Movimiento Latin Dance Company, but my priority is teaching Spanish in a fun and comprehensible way to the students at MCA. 

Since all of my children have grown up and my husband plays a lot of golf, I get to spend my free time planning some amazing Spanish lessons, traveling to Latin Dance Congresses, and learning new languages. I am in the process of adding Yoruba, Vietnamese, Serbian, and Wolof to my list.
