Welcome to 4th grade, our "Basinwood Goes to Space" theme classroom… You are all a shining star!  I am very excited about being your child’s teacher this year. I feel very confident teaching fourth grade as this is my 27th year teaching. I work closely with the fourth grade teachers to create an excellent academic standards-based program.

I feel confident that with a close parent/teacher partnership, your child will receive a motivating, high quality education. Previously I have taught 1st-5th grade, 7th grade, and university graduate level classes at Cal State San Marcos. I have also taught for the University of California Riverside Extension teaching graduate credential classes.

I love fourth graders! They are so eager to learn and ready for challenges. I have one daughter who will be attending Santa Barbara City College this year.  We will be officially "empty nesters". I am married to a wonderful man who is also a teacher. I am looking forward to an awesome school year!
