Welcome to 4th grade, our "Basinwood Goes to Space" themed classroom… You are all a shining star!  I am very excited about being your child’s teacher this year. I feel very confident teaching fourth grade as this is my 30th year of teaching (Wow!). I work closely with the fourth grade teachers to create an excellent academic standards-based program.

I feel confident that with a close parent/teacher partnership, your child will receive a motivating, high-quality education. Previously, I have taught 1st-5th grade, 7th grade, and university graduate level classes at Cal State San Marcos. I have also taught for the University of California Riverside Extension, teaching graduate credential classes.  I am an International Space Station (ISS) Ambassador, and we will be doing STEAM-based projects on earth along with the ISS.

I love fourth graders! They are so eager to learn and ready for challenges. I have a 21-year-old daughter who is attending San Francisco State University to study Environmental Science.  We are officially "empty nesters". I am married to a wonderful man who is also a teacher. I look forward to an awesome school year!
