About Tovashal Elementary...
Tovashal Elementary School, a California Distinguished School, serves students in Kindergarten through Grade Five. Tovashal Elementary School opened in August of 1999. Tovashal, which means “white oak", is the sixth elementary school opened in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District.

School Mission Statement
The mission of Tovashal Elementary School is to provide a safe, motivating environment that creates productive, successful, life-long learners.
We strive to meet the needs of each individual through:
- A rigorous instructional program for all students;
- An outstanding instructional and support staff;
- Staff participation in continued professional training;
- Outstanding educational leadership and effective supervision;
- A safe, orderly and supportive teaching and learning environment;
- Accountability to the public through frequent assessment of students and programs;

Description of Campus
The school has 39 classrooms, a multipurpose room, computer lab, library, cafeteria, administrative offices, staff lounge and two play areas; one for kindergarten students, and one designated for students in grades 1-5. Child care facilities for students in grades K-5 are located on campus in a separate room.
Instructional Goals/Program
Tovashal Elementary School is committed to providing a well balanced, standards-based education for each student. Striving towards excellence is an on-going process at Tovashal Elementary School. Tovashal uses the California State Standards, District and State curriculum, current research in education, and student assessment data to provide a strong base for our instructional program.
