Hello, I am Mr. James Curtis.  I teach 7th grade Social Studies and a new elective entitled ESports at Thompson.  This is my third year at the school.  Prior to that, I worked as Assistant Principal at Buchanan Elementary School here in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District.  As a teacher, I repeatedly tell my students that it is my job to provide an education that provides voice and choice.  I want every student to leave my classroom with the confidence to speak with knowledge and to advocate for themselves.  I also want them to have choices for their future.  In other words, when they receive their high school diploma, my wish for my students is that their future choices are limitless.
