Welcome to the Alta Murrieta Elementary School Website!

    Mr. Coley

My name is Brent Coley and I began my career in education in 1996. I spent 15 years as an elementary school teacher (nine of them teaching grades 4 and 5 at Tovashal Elementary) before becoming an Assistant Principal at Shivela Middle School in 2011. I have also served as an Instructional Technology Leader in the district, helping teachers infuse technology into their teaching to maximize student learning. I received my bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and teaching credential from California State University Fullerton and my administrative credential from California State University San Marcos.

I am thrilled to serve  at Alta Murrieta and look forward to a wonderful year of maintaining the drive for educational excellence that has been established at our amazing school. During the 2017-2018 school year, we will continue to pursue excellence for each and every student. We meet the challenges of mastering academic standards with innovative programs that foster individual growth, academic progress, cultural literacy and good citizenship. With a focus on Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and The Six Pillars of Character, we strive to instill in each student the skills necessary to meet life's challenges with honesty, integrity, courage, and the desire for intellectual and personal excellence.

We have many wonderful activities planned that will make this an unforgettable year. If you use social media, I encourage you to stay up-to-date on school news and information by liking our Facebook page and following us on Twitter. For additional information on what's happening at Alta Murrieta, be sure to watch the latest ColeyCast, my monthly video message to parents and the community.

I look forward to seeing you on campus. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Go, Mustangs!
