Hello, Alta families and welcome to Alta Murrieta Elementary school!  

My name is Cassie Caldwell, and I am thrilled to welcome our Mustangs to the 2024 -2025 school year. While this is my third year serving as Alta’s principal, it is my ninth year serving on the Alta Murrieta Elementary administrative team. I joined the Murrieta Valley Unified School District in 2010, and prior to my time at Alta Murrieta Elementary School, I served as a Teacher on Special Assignment at Rail Ranch Elementary School and as a special education teacher at Tovashal Elementary School. I received my bachelor's degree from University of California Riverside, and my master’s degree, teaching, and administrative credentials from Azusa Pacific University.  

As an educator and as a parent, I fully believe that our children have within them a potential that is beyond the limits of what we can imagine. At Alta, we work to guide our students to persevere through challenges and embrace mistakes, using bumps in the road as a springboard to think about things differently and try again. At Alta, we Pursue Excellence and strive to instill in our students the desire to Pursue Excellence themselves, in all areas of their lives.  

This school year will be full of fun and learning! We have a great many activities planned to make this year memorable.  For details on what is happening at Alta, I encourage you to frequent our website. I am looking forward to another year with our phenomenal staff and brilliant students! Please feel free to stop me and say hello while around campus. I love getting to know our families!
