• General Information

    Visitors

All visitors must sign in/out at the front desk. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to help in classrooms, the library, or the computer lab. MVUSD requires all adult volunteers to complete a volunteer registration form at the school office.

Gates open at 8:10 AM. Students must wait outside the gates until the bell rings.

    School Phone Number

    951-696-1421

    Report Cards

Student progress is tracked though six reporting periods.

    Conferences

Parent/teacher conferences are held in October.

    Lost and Found

Please write student’s full name on all personal belongings. The lost/found rack can be found outside the MPR or check at the office for other items.

    Cell Phones

We discourage elementary students from bringing cell phones. If parents support the child bringing a phone, the phone must remain in the “off” position during school hours. The camera on camera phones may not be used on campus during school hours or functions. Please see student handbook for more information.

    Bicycles/Skateboards/Rollerblades/Scooters

All students are required to wear helmets if they are riding to school. Bikes/skateboards/scooters must be kept in the bike yard and may not be used on campus. Heelies are not allowed on campus and must be removed from shoes before entering. Permission slips must be submitted before students may ride.

    Lunches

Nutritious meals are available for purchase for breakfast and lunch in addition to ala carte items during lunch and breaks.   Menus are sent home monthly and posted on-line. There are two ways to pre-pay for meals and pre-payment discounts are offered. Applications for free or reduced price lunches are available from Nutrition Services.  Parents/students must pay for hot lunches BEFORE school.

    Birthday Party Invitations

Our teachers are often asked to pass out birthday invitations. We can help only if all students in the class are being invited. If you are only able to invite a limited number of students from the class, then we can not assist you in this activity. Students’ feelings are hurt if they are not invited, and we can not ask teachers to be put in this difficult position. Thank you for helping with the caring issues.

    Parking

As you all are aware, parking is limited at drop-off and arrival. Please be sure to follow the law when driving and parking. Also, please respect our community neighbors when parking and do not block driveways or move trash cans on trash day. Thanks for helping us model how to be good community citizens.
