Community Service at Thompson Middle School is 20 clock hours of volunteer work per semester. Students may not work for a family member or for money or for credit. This work must be completed for a non-profit organization that provides a service to the community. It can be for more than one organization. Colleges often look for students that have been involved in consistent long-term service with one organization. An adult overseeing the service must sign off the community service form.
