For those of you HARD CHARGERS looking for some extra credit tasks to invest your time and effort on, why not consider doing one of the following activities? NOT REQUIRED!
Create a PPT or Google slides or another creative outlet on:
THE GREAT SEAL OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
What's the story behind it? What do all the pictures represent? Who designed it? What is it used for? Include whatever information you can find.
MENU ACTIVITY
Create a math lesson using a menu from one of your favorite restaurants. Perhaps, your family was to go together. What would they order? Include appetizers, beverages, side dishes, main dishes, desserts, etc. What would the final tally look like? Don't forget to include TAX? How about a TIP for the waiter/waitress? How would you figure that amount? For extra challenge, see if a calorie content is on the menu for each of the menu items. Tally that up. You can make it as creative and thought provoking as possible. ANY method of design and presentation is your call.

Research differnt types of poetry. Perhaps highlight a specific poet. Consider writiing your own poem using one of the styles you researched?

What's our city's history? How did it come to be? How did it get it's name? When did it become a city? Current popluation? Interesting facts about this city? These are only some questions you can find the answers to. Do not limit yourself to only answering these.
AMUSEMENT PARKS IN CALIFORNIA
California has quite a few amusement parks,,,Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Magic Mountain, Sea World, etc. Choose one to develop an informative report on. Be creative and use whatever kind of presentation platform YOU want.
