Hello everyone,
My name is Cindy Hanson and I am thrilled to be your child's second grade teacher this year! I have been teaching for 28 years, ten years in Kindergarten, four in 1st grade, and this will be my 14th year in 2nd grade. Second graders are so ready, eager, and capable to learn everything and keep me constantly on my toes. I feel so lucky to be at such an amazing school and to have the opportunity to enrich and bring out that creative side of your child, and of course, do it with H.E.A.R.T.
I have been married to my husband, John, for 28 years and we have four beautiful daughters, ages 23 (2nd year dental student at University of Nebraska), 21 (senior at Univ. of Nebraska), and 18-year-old twins who are both headed off to college this fall (Nebraska and Montana). My husband is also a teacher, at Vista Murrieta High School, where he teaches AP US History and US History. My children were all lucky to have attended this amazing school. When we are not teaching, we love to spend time traveling, going to the beach, reading, exploring, and watching movies. I can always be found with a great book.
