Welcome to Distance Learning!
The plan for second grade students during our distance learning time will be to spend approximately 1.5 hours per day on school work. About 45 minutes should be allocated for language arts and another 45 minutes should be used on math. Please look to your teacher's website for specific guidelines on daily learning objectives that lead to mastery of the California State Standards.
Hello Students and Parents,
We hope you are all safe and well! Please refer to the guidelines below to help your second grader continue moving toward state standards.
- Every Monday morning, we will post a distant learning calendar detailing all assignments planned for each day of the week to the second-grade webpage and to our teacher webpages. Our second-grade webpage can be accessed here: https://www.murrieta.k12.ca.us/Domain/505
- Print out the weekly calendar and use it to guide your learning. There will be online and offline activities to do and all assignments will be hyperlinked to the resources you will need. Plan to spend 90 minutes per day completing the must do and may do assignments. As you work, checkmark the boxes for each task you finish.
- At the end of the week, reflect on your week by answering the questions: “One thing I learned...” and “One thing I will do next week...” so that we can know what connections you are making.
- On Fridays: Scan and submit (by email or photo) to your teacher, your finished distant learning calendar and completed pencil and paper assignments.
We will provide you with feedback about your work and we are available via email if you need assistance.
Take care of yourselves and each other!
