Welcome to Murrieta Mesa High School, home of the Rams!

Since its opening in 2009, Murrieta Mesa has grown into a strong educational community with college and career pathways that offer excellent and diverse academic programs, student activities programs, outstanding interscholastic athletic and performing arts programs, as well as many other social and academic enrichment opportunities. Mesa is known for its outstanding culture, which is in no small part due to the wonderful staff, coaches, teachers, students, and community members that make this school such a special place for all. As our Mission Statement explains, “we at Murrieta Mesa have a relentless belief in and unwavering commitment to students. It’s not a job, it’s our passion!”

As an AVID National Demonstration Site, we are committed to the schoolwide practices of AVID strategies and methodologies. Attaining this designation places Murrieta Mesa in the top three percent of approximately 7,000 AVID schools in 47 states, the District of Columbia, 16 countries, and U.S. territories. Mesa serves as a model of leadership, systems, instruction, and culture to other schools interested in implementing or expanding their AVID college preparation program.

Murrieta Mesa High School’s vision is to engage, prepare, encourage, and support students to meet the challenges of the 21^st century. To that end, Murrieta Mesa offers five college and career pathways for students: Liberal Studies/Education, Medical, Engineering, Visual and Performing Arts, and Business/Culinary. These pathways allow students to pursue areas of interest and receive a relevant and meaningful education. Students may participate in partnerships/internships and take Career Technical Education courses to promote post-secondary education and career opportunities in the 21st century. 

At Mesa, we take PRIDE in our culture. With student leadership groups like USB and Beast, over 65 student clubs to join, as well as strong visual and performing arts and athletics programs, every student has the opportunity to take part in school events and develop their interests. Challenge yourself to get involved and create lasting memories. As our school motto states, “Pursue Your Passion… Leave a Legacy.” Ask yourselves, what legacy will you leave behind?

Murrieta Mesa strongly values the participation of parents and community members in all academic and extracurricular programs. The partnerships created between the school, home, and community help create a strong foundation for our students to thrive. Mesa P.R.I.D.E. – Purpose, Responsibility, Integrity, Duty, Excellence – continue to guide Mesa staff and students and are a part of the school’s core belief system.
