• My life in a timeline:
    Born in Minnesota.
    1990:  Graduated from St. Cloud State University with a double major in English and education
    1991:  Began teaching 7th and 8th grade in the Murrieta Valley district at Shivela Middle School
    1995:  Transferred to MVHS 
    1997:  Obtained Master's Degree from Cal State San Marcos
    1999:  Married John Byun, former MVHS choir teacher
    2001:  Mikail Kyu Byun entered the world.
    2005:  Jade Kyoung Byun entered the world.
    2009:  Transferred to Murrieta Mesa
     
    During my time in the Murrieta Valley District,  I have taught and advised the following:  7th and 8th grade Language Arts, 10th grade English (regular and advanced), 11th grade English (themes, advanced, expo, and AP), 12th grade English (regular and advanced), AVID 10. 11, 12, Senior Seminar A, Senior Exit Interview,  Public Speaking, Mock Trial, Academic Decathlon, Model United Nations, and Gay-Straight Alliance,
