Mrs. Jarvie's BiographyI was Born in Tacoma, Washington, about 29 years ago (or so), I graduated from Olympia High School with honors; I graduated 14th in my class. I went to a local community college, graduating with my AA in General Studies. I then took a long break; I got married, had children, moved around the world and then after returning to California, I decided to return to college. I attended CSU San Marcos and received my BA in Liberal Studies (Magna Cum Laude) and later my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. After becoming an elementary school teacher, I began working at a private school in Fallbrook, California. I taught third and fifth grade as well as pre-algebra, algebra and geometry to the junior high students. In 2007, I was hired in Murrieta as an eighth grade teacher at Warm Springs Middle School. I then returned to college and received my single subject teaching credential in math and returned once agan to receive a Master's in Educational Technology. I have been teaching at Murrieta Mesa High School since its opening in 2009.
My husband, Steve, is a retired Marine and my son, Christopher, is a Captain in the United States Air Force and currently lives in Colorado. My daughter, Brittni, is a graduate of Asbury University in Kentucky with a major in Business Finance. She currently works for The Salvation Army in Escondido, California. Alissa, is a massage therapist and lives in the Sacramento area with her husband, Daniel. I have two grandsons, Zephaniah and Matthias, and one grandaughter, Esther, who bring me joy everyday. I am expecting another grandaughter in September of 2020.
Being the wife of a Marine, I have lived in such places as North Carolina, Guam (my son was born on this Pacific island), Twentynine Palms, CA (where both of my daughters were born), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Lusaka, Zambia (Africa). I have visited such places as Paris, France, Aman, Jordan, Cairo, Egypt, the Mediterranean island, Cyprus, and have been on many safaris in Zimbabwe.
I love teaching; I wouldn't do anything else! It is my joy!
