I currently teach CSU Expository Reading & Writing and Cinema as Literature. In addition to teaching, I have served my profession for the last seventeen years as a mentor/coach to new teachers clearing their secondary credentials. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Education, Minor in Sociology, and Secondary Teaching Credential from Humboldt State University. After teaching for fifteen years, I chose to earn my Master's Degree in Teacher Leadership from American College of Education. 

Stephen Covey's Habit Number 5 of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People "Seek first to understand, then to be understood" reflects my philosophy of teaching: I am deeply commited to teacher instruction and student learning. I am thankful for each day I get to work with students and be a part of their intellectual journeys.
