    Message from Principal Diephouse

Nighthawks! Welcome to the Murrieta Valley High School website. I am honored to be named the principal at MVHS. I look forward to working with the students, staff, and parents of our great community.  Our staff is committed to building upon the great traditions at MVHS and developing a culture that engages all students, while meeting their academic, social, and emotional needs. I hope that our website provides you with important information about our school, including upcoming events, our instructional programs, staff contact information, student and parent resources, policies and behavior expectations.

The Mission of Murrieta Valley High School is to inspire academic excellence, to create a caring and respectful community and to foster integrity and character in our students. Our vision is service and commitment to every student every day without predictions.

We have many special and engaging programs to prepare students for their future pursuits and college, including the International Baccalaureate Program, Advanced Placement course, the Mount San Jacinto Community College on our campus, eight Career Pathways, and Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID).  There are more than 50 courses on our campus that students can take to earn college credits. We have award-winning Visual and Performing Arts programs and students compete in Robotics, Mock Trial, Science Olympiad, Virtual Enterprise, auto repair, choir, drama, art competitions and band festivals.  Our students also participate in Peer Assistance Leadership, Nighthawk Pride and Link Crew teams to assist incoming first-year students.  Our Associated Student Body and Senate Students lead the student body in assemblies, rallies, activities, and creating a positive school climate and culture.  We promote a climate of respect for all students and celebrate our diversity. Through our intervention period, Office Hours, and before school tutoring on Wednesday’s in the library, there are many opportunities for students to receive additional academic support.  Our athletes compete in the challenging Southwestern League and many sports are represented in CIF tournaments.

Our commitment is to help our students to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.  Our mission and core belief system is to create a positive and safe culture by leading our students to the R.I.T.E. Way (With Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence).  Each year we continue to build upon Murrieta Valley High School's strong academic tradition, which has made our school a cornerstone in the Murrieta community for the past 30 years.  On behalf of the entire Murrieta Valley staff, we want to welcome our students and families to Murrieta Valley High School.  We look forward to an exciting year.

    Let’s Go Hawks!
