As a high school student, I never dreamt I'd become a high school teacher. It just goes to show that life can be surprising--sometimes downright ironic. I really tried to make the most of high school; I suppose I believed the adage that those years can be the best of your life. I played football and baseball, in addition to being class president and a member of many clubs on campus. High school was great, and I hope my students see it the same way.

My career as a teacher has really been as much a lesson for me as any lesson I may teach my students. I am constantly learning from my students--mostly to recognize the great potential that we all have. It's been nineteen years, teaching in every grade from seventh to twelfth-- nineteen challenging and rewarding years!
